ASHLEY W.
Ashley W graduated from Touro University Nevada with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2012, alongside her husband. Prior to attending school, she had a strong desire to work in pediatrics with children with special needs and followed her passion. Since graduation, she spent time in Texas, where she is originally from, before settling down in Arizona. She works in both the home and clinic setting and enjoys the wide range of ages she works with, as well as the array of diagnoses she sees. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, crafting, and being active outside with her husband and dog.
MARISSA M.
Background/Education:
Marissa is a graduate from Pima Medical Institute in Mesa, Az, where she obtained her Associates Degree in the Studies of Physical Therapy Assisting in July of 2019 and became a therapist at Horizon in May of 2020.
She is eager to pursue her dream of helping children grow and thrive throughout their developmental years and into young adulthood.
What you love about working with children:
Her love for working with children began at a young age. She grew up going to the Boys & Girls Club in Scottsdale, Az, where she later became a staff member from age 15-20 and loved every minute there.
Personal Interest/Hobbies:
Outside of work, she loves to cook, exercise and make jewelry. She believes in living a healthy lifestyle inside and out, while having a good work/life balance to ensure time for fun hobbies and family activities.
MIRIAM R.
Miriam received her associate degree as a Physical Therapists Assistant from Gateway Community College. Although she enjoys working with people of all ages, from the beginning of her career, her heart has been set in working in pediatrics. Miriam has a passion for assisting children discover their full potential in a fun learning environment. She enjoys working with children treating a variety of diagnosis, including ADHD, autism, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and many others. Everywhere she goes, Miriam hopes to continue to be an advocate for children from all ethnic groups and disabilities. Outside of work, she adores being a dog mom to her poodle, Yoshi, and occasionally hiking, emphasis on “occasionally”.
